Free the tatas project

After all the years, I still don’t have a good elevator speech for why we do the topless photos while on vacation so here’s the explanation. If you see these topless photos within the scrapbook, hopefully this will answer any questions.

Backstory: Pre-kids, Nate and I took a trip to St. Martin (the French side) for my birthday. I’ve always wanted to go to a nude or topless beach so we found one and as terrified as I was, I took my top off and ran in the water so Nate could take a photo, from the back. It was the most exhilarating, freeing high. Probably similar to what one might feel skydiving out of a plane.

Years later a few girlfriends did it together on a trip and then it just became a thing we did on trips.

Why we do it: I promote this tradition as a way to honor Mother Nature, free yourself and love your body. Yes, you’ll see my kids, my friends and their kids in some photos. We’re a nudist family and don’t have a problem with expressing ourselves and teaching self-love to our children. There’s no pressure for anyone to take the photo and most times, my kids ask when and where the topless photo will take place <3
